This browser version accepts MP3 and WAV audio files only. Other audio formats and video containers are not supported.

02 / OUTPUT

Standard MIDI, ready to edit.

Download a .mid file and open it in a DAW or MIDI editor. The preview shows detected notes, an estimated tempo, and track duration.

03 / LIMITS

One file. Up to 25 MB.

Files up to 60 seconds are supported. This page converts one file at a time and does not keep a conversion history. In local 25-second tests, the solo flute produced 183 note events, the solo piano 271, and the orchestral mix 309. The solo-flute note list already contained overlapping pitches; the piano and mix also showed dense, short detections. Treat the MIDI as a rough sketch, not a finished transcription, and review every note.

FAQ

A few useful notes.

What does MP3 to MIDI conversion do?

It estimates musical pitches and note timing from audio and writes those notes into an editable Standard MIDI file. MIDI stores note events, not the original sound.

Can I convert WAV to MIDI or other audio formats?

Yes. MP3 and WAV are supported. Other audio formats and video are not supported in this browser version.

What should I expect from the note detection?

It is experimental, not a dependable finished transcription. In local 25-second tests, the solo flute produced 183 note events, the solo piano 271, and an orchestral mix 309. The solo-flute note list showed overlapping pitches, and the piano and mix produced dense, short detections. Review and edit the MIDI note by note; these tests did not establish reliable transcription for any of the three recordings.

Do I need to sign in, and can I convert several files at once?

No sign-in is needed. This page processes one file at a time and does not save a history.
