A small tool for a first MIDI sketch.
FIELDNOTE is an independent project made to help musicians turn a short audio idea into editable MIDI notes in a browser.
What it does
The tool accepts one MP3 or WAV file at a time, up to 25 MB and 60 seconds. It analyzes the selected audio on your device and creates a Standard MIDI file you can download and edit in a DAW or MIDI editor.
What to expect
The transcription is experimental. It can miss notes, add unwanted notes, or place notes inaccurately, especially in polyphonic or mixed recordings. Treat the result as a rough sketch and review it before use; it is not a finished transcription service.

This site is published under the name FIELDNOTE. It does not publish the maker’s personal name.
